Welcome to Post #71 of the American Legion located at 107 North Broadway, Urbana, Illinois! This site was created so our members can easily access important information about our Post as well as the National Organization. Most importantly, though, these pages are created for everyone with a love for God and Country.
Your Urbana Post is very involved in the community. Our Breakfasts, on the first Sunday of the month raise funds to support Camp New Hope, Special Olympics, send packages to our troops overseas, help provide support for American Legion Baseball, provide funds for the Gifts for Yanks Who Gave Program and many other local programs. We also have an active Auxiliary Unit and Sons of the American Legion Squadron.
It's never too early to find money for school. Please check the Legion Links for scholarship information. Also, note the Urbana Post 71 scholarship information is now available in the Main Menu section to your left.
Urbana Post 71 members and friends are preparing for Special Olympics in Bloomington-Normal this June. We have at least 30 members ready to help. It is always rewarding to see these amazing athletes.
